In addition to treatment, education of the patients about their pain disorder is an important part of the treatment plan. The goals of the treatment are to alleviate or manage patient's pain effectively while helping the pain patient overcome the enigma he or she has suffered.

This center employs specialists working in an interdisciplinary format which is based on the Biopschosocial Model of Illness. Our integrated approach insures that each patient is treated with a full range of somatic, cognitive and behavioral techniques in an individually-tailored treatment program, in compliance with the definition of pain, which states: "Pain is an unpleasant, emotional, and sensory experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage."
